Responsible Pet Owner Reminder

Bylaw Services would like to remind you, in accordance with Animal Responsibility Bylaw No. 2436, dogs require a valid pet licence and must be on leash in all public areas. It is your responsibility as a pet owner to keep your dog in your control. Please be a considerate, responsible dog owner, and respect the bylaws regarding leashing your dogs.

Be aware that dogs are never permitted in Rotary Park, Ridgemont Park, any sports fields or school grounds, and should never be left unattended at the Railyard Dog Park.

Any dog owner found in violation of the Animal Responsibility Bylaw may be subject to ticketing and enforcement.

If you experience an issue out on a trail, or in a park with another dog, please report it.  Bylaw Services follows up on all reports of aggressive dog behaviour, and the reported information helps them effectively deal with issues and ensure community safety.
