Montane Parkway & Cokato Road Crossing Closures

Beginning March 31, 2025 there will be traffic interruptions and road closures on Montane Parkway and the Cokato Road crossing while Parastone Developments Ltd. completes underground utility work, road reconstruction and paving in the area.

Phase 1: Cokato Road Crossing Closure

Expected Duration - March 31-April 3

The first phase of work will impact the T-intersection at Cokato Road and Montane Parkway and is planned over four days (March 31-April 3.) To facilitate the installation of a sanitary sewer line across the roadway, the area will be temporarily closed to vehicles and pedestrians. Detours will be in place for all traffic, with signage, flaggers, and barricades to guide road users along the designated alternate routes. (see fig.1)

Phase 2: Montane Parkway Closure

Expected Duration - April 2 - May 31

The second phase of work will involve the full closure of Montane Parkway to vehicle traffic while Parastone’s contractor completes the sewer extension installation, road reconstruction, and paving of the road surface. During this time, vehicle traffic will be re-routed using Slalom Drive to access Cokato Road. Pedestrian traffic will still be able to use the existing pedestrian pathway on the north side of Montane Parkway. (see fig.2)

Impacted area residents have received written notice from the contractor outlining the project timeline, alternate routes, and potential impacts.

The work is anticipated to be completed by June 2025.
