Notice of Zoning Bylaw Amendment - Bylaw No. 2477

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a Bylaw to amend Zoning Bylaw No.1750 has been scheduled for first, second and third reading on TUESDAY, October 22nd, 2024, at 6:30 PM at the Senior Citizens Drop In Centre located at 562 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC. 

Council meetings are available for all members of the public to attend or watch electronically via a Zoom webinar link posted to the City of Fernie website prior to each meeting. Location: All properties located in the CD1 – Comprehensive Development One Zone 

Bylaw: Bylaw 2477, cited as Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, Amendment Bylaw No. 260, Bylaw No. 2477, 2024.

Purpose: To amend the subzones contained in the Comprehensive Development One Zone (CD1) in the Castle Mountain Neighbourhood. The current CD1 zone consists of six subzones and the proposal is to replace these subzones with three subzones which include Community Open Space (COS), Montane Residential (MR) and Neighborhood Mixed Use (NMU).
