Fernie on Fire Annual Fundraiser and Christmas Tree Drop Off

Fernie on Fire is back! Wondering what to do with your Christmas Tree?  Fernie Fire/Rescue will once again be hosting the popular fundraiser and tree burning event on Saturday, January 4!

Beginning at 5:30 pm you can bring your tree to add to the bonfire that will be lit on the Fernie Aquatic Centre grounds. If you want to get rid of your tree sooner, you can drop your tree off on the trailer outside the Temporary Fire Hall on Railway Avenue between December 30 and January 3.

If you are unable to bring your tree or drop it off  in advance, Fernie Fire/Rescue will also be picking trees up curbside January 4 in Maintown, the Annex, the Airport and Ridgemont starting at 8am (please don’t leave your tree on the curb before then.) There will be music, great raffle prizes, a BBQ, and beverages. All proceeds this year will go to the Fernie Freestyle team.
