National Lifeguard (NL) Course

The National Lifeguard Pool certification is designed to develop the fundamental values, judgment, knowledge, skills, and fitness required by lifeguards. The National Lifeguard course emphasizes the lifeguarding skills, principles and practices, and the decision-making processes which will assist the lifeguard to provide effective safety supervision in swimming pool environments.

PREREQUISITES:
  • Bronze Cross – Bring certificate
  • Standard First Aid (Must be from one of 5 recognized agencies) (Bring certificate)
  • The Lifesaving Society
  • The Canadian Red Cross
  • St. John Ambulance 
  • Canadian Ski Patrol
  • Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • 15 years old (by last day)
  • Must complete the on-line Fast Track AMOA (for National Lifeguards) – Bring certificate
  • 100% attendance required

Thursday March 30th & April 13th - 4:00-8:00PM
Friday March 31st & April 14th - 4:00-8:00PM
Saturday April 1st & April 15th - 8:30-5:00PM
Sunday April 2nd & April 16th - 8:30-5:00PM
