Community Sustainability
The City's current vision, endorsed by City Council, is that "Fernie is an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable community where everyone has the opportunity to pursue an excellent quality of life".
Forever Fernie [PDF - 3.9 MB] is the Fernie's Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) to help us reach our sustainability goals. The ICSP identified three priorities:
- Protecting the Environment
- Ensuring Economic Viability
- Enriching Community Life
