The City of Fernie is situated scenically in the Elk Valley, surrounded by Rocky Mountain peaks with the Elk River carving a path through the northern side of the community. A four-season town, Fernie is renowned for its light-as-a-feather powder in the winter, as well awesome fly fishing, hiking and mountain biking year-round.

Core parts of our community are the parks, greenspaces and trails in and around town helping us remain connected with the surrounding natural environment.
