Notice of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-601

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-601 at a Regular Meeting of Council on TUESDAY, APRIL 22nd, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Senior Citizens Drop In Centre located at 562 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.

Location: 661 3rd Avenue, Fernie
Legal Description: Lot 4, Block 19, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District Plan 734
Purpose: The proposed variance will allow the applicant to construct a new accessory building for use as a 2-space garage on the subject lot by varying Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows:
i) Vary section 4.2.1.6: Residential Small Scale (RSS) Side-Yard setback
From: 1.5m To: 1.0m

Public participation will be accepted through written submission and must be submitted before 2:00 PM the day of the Council Meeting where the DVP will be considered by any of the following formats:
