City Supporting Griz Days 2025

The City of Fernie is proud to support the 48th Annual Griz Days and the many exciting events coming to town this weekend. Community classics like the Extreme Griz Competition, Bed Race, and Dummy Downhill are back on the schedule.

The City of Fernie has provided $40,000 to support this annual event, through the Resort Municiaplity Initiative of the Province of British Columbia. And once again, the City will be offering free Public Skate and free Public Swim on February 28.

To support the events and festivities this weekend, staff will be facilitating road closures throughout town from February 28 - March 2, 2025.

We thank the public for their cooperation in keeping these routes clear for the parade and associated festivities, and for abiding by all signage and direction given by the City of Fernie staff, traffic control personnel and Griz Days volunteers.
