Annual Water Main Flushing

The City's water department has started the annual task of hydrant maintenance and main line flushing. Work is scheduled to continue April through June. On March 31, mainline flushing will start in the Airport, followed by Riverside, Cedars, and Ghostrider.

This preventative work helps improve water quality and maintain adequate flow and pressure throughout our water distribution system.

You may notice temporary changes to water pressure and/or discolouration as we complete flushing in your neighbourhood. This is normal and can be resolved by running a cold tap for a few minutes until the water clears.
