Fairy Creek Reservoir Rehabilitation Work

The City of Fernie is undertaking rehabilitation work on the Fairy Creek Reservoir to ensure reliable water supply. The rehabilitation work was designed by Associated Engineering, and the construction will be carried out by River Valley Construction Services.

Interior and exterior concrete repairs will be completed, and a new cladding will be installed over the structure.

Construction is anticipated from September 3rd through the end of October, 2024.

Due to the reduced water levels necessary at the Fairy Creek Reservoir to support the rehabilitation work, the Stage 2 Water Restrictions will continue until the project’s completion, anticipated late October, 2024.
