City of Fernie Secures Funding for Organic Waste Collection

The City of Fernie has secured $176,001 funding from the province to support a new Organic Waste Curbside Collection Program.

 

This exciting initiative makes it easier for residents to divert organic waste from landfills, lowering our community carbon footprint and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

 

A big thank you to the Clean BC Organic Infrastructure & Collection Program for supporting the purchase of curbside collection carts and kitchen collection bins that will serve more than 2,000 residential homes throughout Fernie.
