Fernie City Council will consider first, second, and third readings of Amendment Bylaw No. 2549, 2026 (zoning and text amendments) at its Regular Meeting on April 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fernie Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre. No public hearing will be held, in accordance with the Local Government Act. The meeting is open to the public in person or online via Zoom or YouTube. -
City Responds to Wastewater Compliance Inspection Report

The City of Fernie submitted a formal response late last week to the Province of British Columbia regarding a provincial inspection of Fernie’s wastewater system and the resulting Compliance Inspection Report. -
Renew Your Backyard Fire Pit Permit

Backyard Fire Pit Permits allow residents to have a backyard campfire and burn clean, dry, untreated firewood for personal enjoyment. Permits are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
